• The name of the local Christian group is Lawyers For Jesus (LFJ).  It was organized in 1989, and is headed by Mrs. Patricia Roberts, Madame Justice Alice Soo Hon, and Madam Justice Maureen Rajnauth-Lee.

LFJ lawyers in Trinidad and Tobago are involved in the following activities:

• Contesting abortion legislation
• Prison ministry
• Reconstructive justice
• Self-esteem projects in the local schools
• Drug rehabilitation projects

Convocation Goals:

• The Global Convocation organized by Advocates International will help LFJ unite with the worldwide prayer program, allow them to meet and exchange views with international Christian lawyers, and promote the forging of strong links to prepare the world for the rapture.

• Success in presenting a pro-life petition to the prime minister and the AG
• Reduction of crime and violence in the country
• Peace between the major ethnic groups (Afro- and Indo-Trinidadian)
• God’s help in reviving the church of Jesus Christ in Trinidad and Tobago
