• The name of the local Christian group is Christian Legal Fellowship (CLF), established in 1978 and led by Ms. Ruth Ross.  There are nearly 450 members in the organization including lawyers, judges, law professors and law students.

• Sanctity of life matters
• Religious freedom
• Organizing national conferences
• Providing legal training
• Issues pertaining to the constitutionality of same-gender marriages

Convocation Goals:

• The administrators of Christian Legal Fellowship in Canada see Advocates International’s Global Convocation as a source for sharing experience and encouragement with fledgling Christian legal associations.  CLF recognizes the need to expand the Christian influence both nationally and internationally through the solidarity of influential legal professionals.

Prayer Items:

• Protection of pastors and vocal Christian leaders from negative implications of Bill C-250 (making the expression of moral disapproval on certain forms of sexual activity a criminal offence)
• Wisdom when counseling Christian leaders regarding how to proceed in light of recent legislation and legal precedents that undermine religious freedom

• Courage and resources to expand the borders of CLF’s impact in Canada
• Complete acquiescence of CLF’s ministry to the direction of the Holy Spirit
