  • The name of the local Christian group is Asociatia pentru Suprematia Legii—Rule of Law.  It was organized in 1999 and is led by Salonica Talos.  The group currently consists of approximately 30 members.

Major Activities of Christian Lawyers:

Rule of Law Romania (RLR) lawyers are involved with the following:

  • Helping churches with legal issues.
  • Defending human rights, particularly religious liberties.
  • Holding annual meetings.

Convocation Goals:

  • Asociatia pentru Suprematia Legii—Rule of Law was itself born after an AI convocations.  The idea of having a national network of Christian lawyers, who help, encourage and support each other, and together have the same goal of serving the Lord through their profession, became a reality after the 1998 AI Global Convocation.  Since then, AI’s continuous help has been extremely precious to RLR (Rule of Law Romania).  The delegates look forward to the October Convocation as a time where they can deepen their relationships with all the other Christian lawyers and see it as a place where they can renew their vision and get motivated once again for their activities in Romania.

Prayer Items:

  • For an increasing number of Christian lawyers in Romania.
  • That the group would find an appropriate place where they can establish their headquarters.
  • That RLR would be able to establish at least two branches of the organization in other cities in Romania

ªRomania In Actionª

This former communist nation suffered severely under communism until its collapse in December 1989. Today Romania has the largest evangelical church in Europe with over 4,000 in attendance every Sunday at the Second Baptist Church in Oradea.  Emmanuel University in Oradea was launched by this dynamic church and is the largest evangelical university in Europe today. There are also six Christian radio stations in this nation of 24 million.  Salonica Talos, the founder of Romania’s Rule of Law Institute, has played a leading role in securing the legal rights so that Christian ministries, such as radio stations, orphanages and the university can flourish in Romania.  Fifteen years ago these activities were hopes and dreams.  Miracles in slow motion over recent years have brought hopes to reality.
