ªLithuania In Actionª

For six hundred years Lithuania has been known as a (Catholic) Christian country, yet some of the inner values have been lost.  While civil governors exercise an external control, Christians are praying the for the spread of understanding that all government begins internally in the heart of man, with his responsibility to govern his conscience, will, character, thoughts, ideas, motives, convictions, attitudes and desires.  How a man governs himself internally shows in his external actions, speech, conduct, use of property, and more.  The Lithuanians are praying for the success of their government in properly controlling the external sphere and making good laws.  Their prayer is in part inspired by an article written by Stephen McDowell & Mark Beliles, Liberating the Nations (Charlottesville, VA, 1995), p.6.
