Daniel Varela attended the Sixth Latin American Christian Lawyers Convocation (VI CLAC) organized by ALA/RLAAC and the Dominican Christian Lawyers Network in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic, in October 2006.

In November 2007, Daniel traveled to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, where he joined Gianella Aloise (IJC Uruguay and Board Chair-person of ALA/RLAAC), and Nina Balmaceda (Advocates International Coordinator for Latin America) and several Bolivia colleagues who gathered at the Santa Cruz Bar Association to hear about Advocates International and ALA/RLAAC.

Upon his return to Paraguay, Daniel started the Christian Lawyers Association of Paraguay (Asociación de Abogados Cristianos del Paraguay – AACP).

Our Paraguayan colleagues offer pro-bono services to the community in Asunción, the capital city.

The current leaders of the AACP/Paraguay are attorney Daniel Varela and Law Professor Manuel Céspedes.
