Sierra Leone
Situated in West Africa and ravaged by many years of civil war which ended just over 6 years ago; the recently established Advocates Sierra Leone (ASL) seeks to heal wounds, promote justice and protect human rights.
Recent reports indicate that more and more lawyers and law students are becoming interested in being part of ASL. As a pastor mentioned recently in his sermon that ASL is "the new phenomenon likely to turn things round for this country." ASL has held several seminars and outreach programs since their launch in 2005.
ASL is led by Justice Patrick O. Hamilton; its President, and Ibrahim Koroma its General Secretary (Estimated members: 45)
